Everything you want to know.
Hey there! I’m Lauren, a mama of 2 beautiful little girls Sutton and Auden, and my sweet boy Atticus. They keep me on my toes to say the least, thank the Lord for my husband who definitely is wrapped around their feisty little fingers. I started dating my husband Dominic when I was 18 (even though I had a crush on him long before that), and our first date was the first time we actually said more than 3 words to each other. And he hasn’t been able to get me to stop talking since! I also wouldn’t be able to do all the things I love without him.
Starting at 16 I began my journey as a photographer and Dominic has helped turn our 12.5 acre property in to my photographer’s wonderland, including my 560 sq. ft. studio on our property. But after over 15 years of being a photographer, that part of my life has transitioned into something I could have never imagined.
After having my daughters, I’ve realized that my love of babies was where I wanted my photography to go. I became passionate about learning everything I could about pregnancy and babies and knew I wanted to be able to provide care and memories to other mamas and daddies to be. In 2020 I started my journey to become a doula for my birth clients, and be able to help them navigate the craziness that is parenthood. This led to me beginning my journey to becoming a certified professional midwife by starting school at Midwives College of Utah in January of 2023.
Alongside my journey of midwifery and being there for families during such a tender time, being there for others professionals and inspiring others overflows my cup. We can all learn something from one another, and I want to build that idea, which is why my Thrive Together workshops, events, and mentorships focus on just that. Helping others, inspiring others, letting them know they aren’t alone. Ultimately, this is to bring together professionals who support families in every area of life learn what others do to be able to identify where their scope of practice ends and another begins, then guide families to what they need.
I know my story will continue to grow and change, and I am so happy you have taken the time to get to know this chapter.
